The Lady Pioneers got down early in the first half but Tenisha Wilson connected on two free throws as GSC tied it at 14 a piece. After that Aesha Peters made a layup as the Lady Pioneers would took a 16-14, it was all GSC from there on out as they not trail again in the game.
GSC took a 58 to 41 lead into halftime, in the second half the Lady Pioneers continued their dominate play. Bowie State didn’t give up and cut the Lady Pioneers led to 11 points 71-60 with 16:55 to play in the game.
Despite the good effort from Bowie State it was no match for GSC as they pulled away and claimed a 114-79 win.
GSC was led by Danielle Woodmore and Tenisha Wilson, both scored a game high 18 points while Woodmore dished out five assist, Wilson recorded her fourth double double of the year as she also grabbed 11 rebounds.
Beth Deren scored 15 points as she drilled five three pointers in the game. Mishae Miles picked up her third double double of the year as she scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Kenyell Goodson scored 11 points while Jelena Elez chipped in with 10 points and dished out a game high seven assists.
Aesha Peters also played a good game as she scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds for GSC.
Bowie State was led by Juliette Turner with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Chanet Wallace scored 13 points while Brooke Miles and Reven Smith both chipped in with 12 points.
The Lady Pioneers will return to action December 3rd when they travel to Pitt-Johnstown. Tip-off is set for 1:00PM.
