Greensburg, PA – The Glenville State men’s basketball team fell to Seton Hill on the road Saturday 51-74, as their three game wining streak comes to an end.
The Pioneers and Griffins battled back and fourth in the early minutes of the game but Seton Hill took a nine point lead at the 10:50 mark as Matt Miller made a layup making it 17-8.
The Griffins would extend their lead to 14 points heading into halftime 31-17.
In the second half it was all Seton Hill as the Pioneers could not cut into their lead as GSC would fall 51-74.
The Griffin shot 61 percent from the floor and 60 percent from three point land while the Pioneers only shot 34 percent and only 25 percent from behind the arc. GSC was also outrebounded by Seton Hill 32 to 25.
Andy Dollman was the only Pioneers to score in double figures as he scored 10 points. Kevin Gray scored nine points while Mark Gray chipped in with seven points and a team high seven rebounds.
Nate Cash and Jamel Morris both scored six points.
The Griffins were led by Chris Giles as he scored 30 points, 12 rebounds, and six assist. Matt Miller scored 12 points while Oliver Lewinson grabbed nine rebounds.
The Pioneers return to action Thursday, February 9th when they travel to Buckhannon, West Virginia as the take on West Virginia Wesleyan. Tip-off is set for 7:30PM.
