Welcome, parents, to Glenville State College. GSC offers a unique college experience for the discerning student. A small public institution, the 325-acre campus is tucked into the hills of central West Virginia.

Here, students are known by their name - not by a number. All classes are taught by dedicated faculty and small class ratios foster individual development. Every student receives one-on-one time with their personal faculty advisor, and extra help is available at every turn through our Academic Support Center.

Living at Glenville State College is also affordable, and very comfortable. Resident students never need to worry if they have enough money for the basics, such as laundry, Internet access or cable television, since all these items are included in the basic cost of the residence halls.

With in-state tuition at $2,243 a semester and a residence hall room priced at $1,500 a semester, Glenville State College’s value simply cannot be beat. Students here receive a private school experience at a public school price.

With some 1,400 students who come from near and far, the beautiful campus serves as the community hub of Glenville. Just 15 miles off Interstate 79, Glenville State College is a safe haven for students, but isn’t too far from major shopping and dining attractions in Weston, Flatwoods, Clarksburg, Parkersburg and beyond. More often than not, though, people come from elsewhere to GSC to take in a game and cheer for the Pioneers, watch a theatre production, or listen to one of the college’s fine musical ensembles.

Glenville State College is what college should be - a safe, comfortable place to learn and grow.
