16th Annual Rumble on the Hill: Last Stand in the Lilly

Trillium Reading

Reminder: The 11th annual Trillium Reading will be held this Friday, April 11 at 4 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center, Room 315-A. The Trillium is Glenville State’s Literary arts journal showcasing poetry, lyrics, still artwork, short prose, and works of nonfiction from students, faculty & staff, alumni, and community contributors. Student Loan Counseling

The Glenville State College Office of Financial Aid wants to remind students who receive student loans that it is required to complete loan entrance counseling each year. This counseling is to be completed online at www.studentloans.gov and can be submitted at any time for the 2014-15 school year. What can be expected from this counseling? Energy Express is Hiring for Summer 2014

Public Safety Bans Pellet & Airsoft Guns on Campus

Glenville State College Public Safety issued a new ban on Monday, April 1 that is to take immediate effect. Due to a recent influx of responses to reports of guns on campus that turned out to be non-lethal guns–arisoft and pellet guns–campus security has moved to place a restriction on these items to prevent a serious or fatal accident as these guns can be mistaken for lethal weapons. Thanks to student participation in the recent Student Government Association Election a new executive cabinet has been elected for the 2014-15 term. Approaching Graduation: Cap & Gown Orders

The Glenville State College Bookstore announced this past Monday that they are taking orders for cap and gowns. Seniors graduating in May are encouraged to stop by the Bookstore as soon as possible to order their outfit for the commencement ceremony. The graduation outfit includes the cap, gown, and tassel for $45.00 (note, that one may purchase these items separately). Graduating seniors can also buy announcements to send to family and friends.
