Well, the school year is just about over, as students are packing their belongings and sprucing up their rooms for the next year, there is but one last thing on all students’ check lists to take care of:  take the Finals.  All next week will be nothing but Finals, as the school year comes to a close.  All GSC students are cramming, try to remember everything that they have learned in order to pass the make or break tests in their classes.  Crunching numbers, interpreting [...]

Junk Funk Fashion Show

Junk Funk Fashion Show

The Junk Funk Fashion Show has ended and the works presented were really cool. From vases made from painted glass bottles to even a dress made entirely out of trading cards, the fashion show was really good. There was even a checkers game made of a pizza box and bottle caps as well as artwork done on parts of the pizza box on display. During the fashion show, a presentation will be given about how going green can benefit the planet, as well as to [...]

Art Show

The Sixth Annual Juried Student Art Show is open in the Fine Arts Building Gallery, following an opening awards reception on March 25. Students winning awards for their artwork are: Toni Doman, First Place, “Collage Bird” Jillian Malon, Second Place, “Wrench in the Works” Assa Whitte, Third Place, “Man” Elora Shock, Honorable Mention, “Inner Strength” Alizabeth Bailey, Memorial Award, “Rebellion [...]

FAFSA Reminder

Tax season is one of the most hectic times of the year as everyone needs to make sure that all the numbers have been crunched right, all important documents are signed in the right places, and nothing is out of place. This is even more hectic for college students who are working on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA for short, as these very documents are vital for further education. Students already spend hundreds to even thousands of dollars on school materials [...]
