The holidays have arrived at Glenville State College as the GSC Choir and Chamber Singer sing the Christmas songs from the 17th-20th centuries. On the week after Thanksgiving Break, there will be two recitals on November 28th, a student recital, at 3-5 p.m. and November 30th, a senior recital, at 7-9 p.m. at the Recital Hall in the Fine Arts building. The students in the music department will be performing at Glenville State College on November 14 in the auditorium of the Fine Arts Building. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the show as the band brings songs from the 70’s to today. Glenville State College’s own professor, Anita White, will be holding a recital in the auditorium of the Fine Arts Building on November 12. White teaches accompianment in the music department. White will play hymns performed in classical styles such as the song “Amazing Grace” in the style of Bach or Beethoven. Glenville State College will be holding the West Virginia Marching Band Invitational at 10 a.m. on November 3 at I.L. and Sue Morris Stadium. This invitational is one of the largest competitions in the state of West Virginia as 28 high school marching bands will be participating. Fall Preview at GSC

On Saturday November 10, Glenville State College will be visited by future students for a preview of what to expect when they arrive as freshmen. These students will be given a tour of the college and will learn about selecting majors and minors and as well as everyday student life.
