GSC To Offer New Sport

The Glenville State College Athletic Department Director announced that Glenville State Athletics is getting a new sport. This new sport is going to be Quidditch. Yes, readers, you read that right, Quidditch is coming to GSC. GSC Ladies Softball Drop Two to WV State

On February 28, 2015, the Glenville State Pioneers will be hosting their conference rival WV Wesleyan Bobcats at the Waco Center with tip off scheduled for 4 pm. But prior to the game, the college has a busy day of events lined up. Monday February  2, Glenville State College both Men And Women’s had  unfortunately lost to Fairmont Sate University Falcons. The Men’s team had double figures but fell short 79-72. The women’s team had a promising future Keyanna Tate scoring 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds  but ultimately ended up losing the game to Fairmont  92-83. Glenville State’s basketball teams were victorious in their recent on the road competition versus the Mountain Lions of Concord University with the men’s team winning 89 – 82, and the women’s team triumphant with a blowout score of 92 – 67. Men’s Basketball falls against Winston Salem State

The men’s basketball team fell to Winston Salem State on the road in a non-conference game by nine points with a final score of 84-75. In the first half of action, both teams would battle it out going up and down the court trying to get an early lead. On Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 the Glenville State Pioneer men’s basketball team jump started the 2014-15 season. Out of the two games the Pioneers won the first with a big victory over Gannon University on Friday, November 15. This was the first official basketball game in the brand new WACO Center. Pioneers Beat West Virginia State in Final Game

On Saturday, November 15 at 1 p.m., the Pioneer football team defeated the West Virginia State Yellow at the Morris Stadium, 30-7. The Pioneers started off in the lead as they scored 23 points. Pioneer Football Suffers another Loss

The Glenville State Pioneer football team fell while on the road at Walsh University on Saturday, November 8. This was the second game in a row the Pioneers lost in the past two weeks. Even though the Pioneers fought hard, the final score was 31-23. The Pioneers have their last home game on Saturday, November 15.
