Glenville State College played against the Mountain Lions last Saturday,  September 6. The Pioneers fought, yet lost with an ending score of 54-27. During the first quarter, Concord scored a total of 16 points, leading until the second quarter where Glenville State’s Rahmann Lee scored a total of six points. Unfortunately the Lions scored another 17 points, leading 33-6 at half time. Glenville State College has opened itself to many more on-campus activities this past year, one of which is the art of yoga. It may be foreign to many, but not to Dr. Sallie Anglin, who has been involved with yoga for the past 12 years. Anglin initially began taking yoga classes in order to seek out a physical practice that incorporated a healthy lifestyle; she wanted more than just a workout. Coach Hutchinson has Team Working Overtime

  Head Football Coach Dave Hutchison reports that the team is working hard and everyone is excited for the first games. He sees improvement in the team and reports that they are currently participating in high-intensity, two-hour workouts. Glenville State College named Katie Avery as the new volleyball head coach, replacing Camai Roberson. Avery is from Teays Valley, West Virginia and is looking forward to the upcoming season. The Pioneer Shooting Club attended it’s very first competition last weekend at Peacemaker National Training Center near Martinsburg, West Virginia. Peacemaker is the largest shooting sports complex on the east coast. Eight students attended and four participated in the competition. Dr. Grieco competed as well. The students were using stock service pistols for the event. They were required to shoot in several different scenarios that mimicked true-to-life situations.
