Five Glenville State College Army ROTC students were part of the Yellow Jacket Battalion’s twelve-man Ranger Challenge Team, which placed 3rd of 19 teams. The Ranger Challenge is a varsity sport in Army ROTC, and the competitors earn a Ranger Challenge Tab and a service ribbon after completing the challenge. What is Student Support Services?

Student Support Services is a program for low income first generation students. They provide a lot of support for students from anything to buying textbooks and laptops to tutoring programs free printing and educational workshops. They have 160 spots available for the program and want active members. Being active includes going to their activities that they hold almost weekly throughout the school year. Come play Jeopardy with a Twist!

Jeopardy with a twist will be coming to GSC September 26, 2013. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the Mollohan Center in room 315A. Getting Around GSC on the Shuttle

The shuttle bus drives around campus picking up and dropping off students at various places. The shuttle stops at the Mollohan center, the entrance to Goodwin Hall, the Fine Arts Building, Pioneer village, the football field, the Waco Center, and by the gymnasium. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete all stops. Glenville State Accreditation Passed

The purpose of accreditation is to recognize that an institution of learning is meeting and maintaining certain requisites in order for their graduates to be considered “graduates”. Every school has to be accredited every ten years in order for that school to be considered reputable. West Virginia colleges and universities, including Glenville State, are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association. Since July of 2010, the construction of Glenville State College’s newest addition, the Waco Center, has been underway. The Waco Center is a 25 million dollar facility which will be made up of Glenville State’s Land Resources Program, a 24 hour medical center that will also be open to the public, and a 3,000 seat stadium for sports and other events.
