Reminder: The 11th annual Trillium Reading will be held this Friday, April 11 at 4 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center, Room 315-A. The Trillium is Glenville State’s Literary arts journal showcasing poetry, lyrics, still artwork, short prose, and works of nonfiction from students, faculty & staff, alumni, and community contributors. Glenville State College will be holding a Jazz Band concert performed by the newest ensemble in the college’s music program, The Glenville State College Jazz Combo. Glenville State College’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Guild will have sign-up sheets for the upcoming Humans vs. Zombies game on April 7-11 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Rusty Musket for all who are interested in participating in the game. The rules of Humans vs. Zombies are as followed: Players are given brightly colored bandanas to wear on their heads or their arms, representing either “Human” or “Zombie”. Thundering Drums

For the thirty-fourth consecutive year, a percussion ensemble comprised of members of the GSC band will perform. The concert will be held at the Fine Arts Building April 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. According to Fine Arts Department Chair Lloyd Bone, the percussion ensemble performance is one of the most popular events in the Glenville State College musical year. Glenville State College will be accepting entries for the Seventh Annual Student Art Show and the event is open to all full-time students of GSC with three works allowed in any form of art medium with any 2D artwork must be prepared to be hanged for presentation. The Glenville State College Band is going to be performing a Brass and Woodwind Concert and it will be a literal blast for those who attend. On Wednesday evening, the Glenville State College Theatre group opened “The Apple Tree”, a musical comedy play that features three different stories in on whole play: a retelling of the story of Adam and Eve, a story of a jealous lover who tries to keep her husband, and finally a 60s version of the classical tale of Cinderella.
