He will be performing at the Rusty Musket  in the Mollohan Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free to all of GSC students and friends. International Movies

International Week at Glenville State College brings a variety of forum films to campus, featuring comedies and dramas from Great Britain and Asia. On Sunday, October 14, following international sports including soccer, British soccer film Bend it Like Beckham will be shown in room 315 of the Mollohan at 7 p.m. The movie, starring Parminder Nagra and Kiera Knightly, is about Sikh immigrants living in London. International Song and Dance

Intercultural song and dance will be celebrated during international week with two events in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The Glenville State College Music Department will hold Music Fest 2012 on Tuesday, October 16 at 7 p.m. Ensembles participating are the Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Brass Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Bluegrass Band, Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, GSC Drum Line and GSC “Wall of Sound” Marching Band. Theater with a side of MURDER

Glenville was a peaceful place… until there was talk of dinner and murder. Yes, there will be a dinner theater event with a murder mystery involved. Student Life and Alpha Psi Omega, an honorary theater society, will team up to produce a soap opera spoof called “The Day After Tomorrow,” written by Eileen Moushey. West Virginia Community Theatre Festival

Glenville State College will be hosting the annual West Virginia Theater Festival on October 13 from 9 a.m-7 p.m. in the Fine Arts auditorium. This competition will help choose the winning theater from the state of West Virginia to go on to perform at the festival that will be held at Louisville, Kentucky at the Southeastern Theatre Conference. West Virginia Symphony coming to Glenville

The West Virginia Orchestra will be playing at Glenville State College on September 28 in the auditorium at the Fine Arts Building. The orchestra will be playing the classical works of Ludwig Von Beethoven. The West Virginia Orchestra, conducted by Grant Cooper, will play Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 as well as Beethoven’s Violin Concerto as a part of their tour around the state of West Virginia in order to promote the arts within the state. Award-Winning Poet, Andrea Hollander Budy Award winning poet Andrea Hollander Budy will give a reading and a poetry writing workshop on October 3 and 4. Budy is the author of four full-length poetry collections: Landscape with Female Figure: New & Selected Poems, 1982-2012; Women in the Painting; The Other Life; and House Without a Dreamer.
