International Movies

International Week at Glenville State College brings a variety of forum films to campus, featuring comedies and dramas from Great Britain and Asia.

On Sunday, October 14, following international sports including soccer, British soccer film Bend it Like Beckham will be shown in room 315 of the Mollohan at 7 p.m. The movie, starring Parminder Nagra and Kiera Knightly, is about Sikh immigrants living in London.

During the week, the Asian Film Festival will offer Aftershock on Monday at 6:30 p.m.; Street of Shame on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.; and Woman on the Beach on Thursday at  6:30 p.m. All of the Asian Film Festival movies will be shown in the RFK library.

On Thursday, The Pianist, the Roman Polanski film about a Polish Jewish musician in the Warsaw ghetto during World War II starring Adrien Brody, will be shown at 3 p.m. in room 315 of MCCC.

To end the week with a laugh, episodes of “Mr. Bean” starring Rowan Atkinson will be shown at 6 and 8 p.m., also in room 315 of MCCC.
