Pioneers Come Out Victorious on Senior Day

It was a beautiful day at Morris Stadium as the Glenville State College Pioneer football team said goodbye to 15 senior players and  came out victorious on their last game of the 2012 season against Seton Hill with a score of 58-2.

Quarterback Justin Feagin completed five of 14 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown; he also rushed for 44 yards on five carries.

Rahmann Lee, a red-shirt freshman from Capitol Heights, MD, led the Pioneers with 19 carries for a career high 301 yards and five touchdowns; Lee’s furthest run of the day was for 97 yards. Orlandus Harris caught five passes for 59 yards, and was followed by Robert Jiles who caught three passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Leading the Glenville State defense was Darren Elliot, who had two pass break-ups, and an interception that he returned for 15 yards, along with six tackles. Gary Henderson racked up six tackles as well along with a forced fumble.

Glenville State rushed for 457 yards on the day and had a total of 557 yards of offense. After marking down their final win of the season, the Pioneers finished with a 6-5 overall record and a 6-2 West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) record. They finished in a tie for second place in the conference.
