GSC to Host Pioneer PreviewBy David Finley | March 28th, 2013 | Category: Features | No Comments »
Glenville, WV – The Glenville State College campus doors will be open during the weeks of April 15th-19th and April 22nd-26th to give prospective students a look at just what it means to be a Pioneer. The annual GSC Spring Preview open house event will help educate both prospective students and their parents on the various degree programs, athletic events, and student life activities that are available.
“The Spring Pioneer Preview has enjoyed phenomenal success in the past several years as an event that future Pioneers look forward to,” said Duane Chapman, GSC Vice President of Enrollment Management. He went on to say that they are adding an extra week for this year’s Pioneer Preview. “It will start the transition from high school to college as early as possible to prepare students for academic success,” said Chapman.
Many current GSC students have been able to attend past Pioneer Previews before making the choice to select Glenville State as their college. Joe Perry, a Sophomore Criminal Justice major from Weston in Lewis County, West Virginia said, “The Pioneer Preview was a nice and welcoming experience. It was great to be able to experience campus life firsthand. The event truly gives students a look into the life of a Pioneer before they enroll.”
