Meet the Phoenix StaffBy Mary Lewis | August 29th, 2013 | Category: Pioneer on the Street | No Comments »
“Pioneer on the Street” is a regular feature that introduces students, faculty, and staff to the readers of The Phoenix. This week we introduce the new staff members of The Phoenix.
Jacob Clevenger is a twenty-one year old senior from Smithville, West Virginia. He chose GSC because it was close to home, he knew people who would be joining the GSC family, and everyone seemed friendly. He is part of The Phoenix because he thought it seemed interesting as an English major.
James Dunlap is an eighteen-year old freshman from Jane Lew, West Virginia. He chose GSC because it’s a small school both in both student population and geographically, and because the teachers care about their students. He is part of The Phoenix because he wanted to find out if an English major was right for him.
And I, Mary Lewis, am also an eighteen-year old freshman, but I’m from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. I chose GSC because it’s an old family school and the teachers know you by name. I chose to be part of The Phoenix because, as an English major, I wanted to try a new style of writing.
With this in mind, we look forward to updating you about our campus every Wednesday.
