High Adventure on the New RiverBy Mary Lewis | August 29th, 2013 | Category: Et Cetera | No Comments »
On Sunday, September 1, the High Adventure Program is taking a trip to the lower New River Gorge for white water rafting. The date is important to note, as it has been changed from its original date. The lower part of the Gorge has over twenty-five rapids that range from a Class II to a Class VI. This means that the rapids are between moderate and extreme difficulty. Rafters of all experiences are welcome, and like all High Adventure trips, beginners are asked to step out of their comfort zone and give rafting a try. The total cost for a student at Glenville State College is $40, and that includes transportation, lunch, and any equipment needed. To sign up for this trip, see Dave Bernier in the High Adventure office in the Fitness Center, and sign up and pay.
