Getting Around GSC on the ShuttleBy James Andrew Dunlap | September 12th, 2013 | Category: Lead Story, News | No Comments »
The shuttle bus drives around campus picking up and dropping off students at various places. The shuttle stops at the Mollohan center, the entrance to Goodwin Hall, the Fine Arts Building, Pioneer village, the football field, the Waco Center, and by the gymnasium. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete all stops.
Some people have been complaining about how the shuttle will only stop at the mandatory stops and that previously they had been more lax about stopping at say someone’s house. They had to be stricter on this due mainly to keep you safe and so they weren’t liable if someone was to get hurt. So it is not the driver’s fault if they refuse to stop elsewhere.
They use both a bus and van to transport you across campus. The bus is usually used during high traffic times like the middle of the day when there are large amounts of people heading over to the Waco Center for class while the van is used mostly during the evenings.
The shuttle runs every day of the week from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. and serves approximately 1000 patrons every day. It is a service provided to you for free and is quite useful. All are invited to take advantage of this service.
