Five Glenville State College Army ROTC students were part of the Yellow Jacket Battalion’s twelve-man Ranger Challenge Team, which placed 3rd of 19 teams. The Ranger Challenge is a varsity sport in Army ROTC, and the competitors earn a Ranger Challenge Tab and a service ribbon after completing the challenge. The challenge is a series of tests, such as the Army Physical Fitness Tests, timed road marches, patrolling, rifle marksmanship, and many others. The competition takes place every fall, and all cadets reaching the academic standard are welcome to compete. This year, it took place October 25 and 26 at Fort Pickett, VA. This challenge tests the cadets on leadership, team work, and mental and physical strength.
