2014 Pioneer ShowcaseBy Tara Grieco | April 3rd, 2014 | Category: Features, Lead Story | No Comments »
The annual Pioneer Showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 22 in the Mollohan Campus Community Center. The showcase allows full-time students to present class projects across all disciplines in a juried setting. Participants will be doing a short presentation as well as displaying a poster representing their research or a display of their creative project. Refreshments will be served and cash prizes will be awarded.
The size and scope of the showcase has increased every year. “The Pioneer Showcase has successfully highlighted the GSC’s creative and intellectual work since its inception three years ago. This year, however, I am especially pleased that every department is being represented, making it a true showcase for the impressive and diverse talent of our students and faculty,” says Dr. Jonathan Minton, Associate Professor of English.
The showcase will begin at 11 a.m. and culminate with an awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Be sure to watch for the upcoming schedule of presentations so you may plan to see the presentations that interest you the most. Posters will be on display throughout the entire day.
The departments being represented this year are:
Language and Literature
Science and Mathematics
