The Department of Land Resources is hosting its 16th annual golf tournament at Bel Meadow Country Club in Clarksburg on May 2.
The tournament begins Friday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m. Come on out and bring a few friends. There will be multiple prizes offered:
2-Hole-in-One prizes: $10,000 cash and a 420 Honda Rancher 4-Wheeler
Closest 2nd Shot: Stihl MS290 Chainsaw
Top three teams will receive cash awards and trophies:
1st place: $400
2nd place: $300
3rd place: $200
Prizes will also be awarded for Closest to Pin, Log Drive Champion, Longest Putt, and Longest Drive.
The Department of Land Resources hosts the golf tournament every year, and has for the past 15 years. The money that the department makes goes toward buying equipment for students in the Environmental, Forestry, Landman, and Land Surveying programs. In the past, the money has been used to purchase the newest GPS, GIS, and CADD technologies. The tournament participants always have a great time at the tournament and it’s a great way to have fun while supporting GSC and its Natural Resource Management students.
The fees for the scramble golf outing are $80 per person or $320 per team of four. The entry fee includes green fees, cart rental, and lunch. Lunch will be at 11:00 a.m. Pulled pork BBQ or grilled chicken breast, coleslaw, and baked beans will be served.
You may also choose to participate by sponsoring a hole. Sponsorships start at $100 and you or your organization’s name will be displayed during the event. Sponsors will also be recognized in a GSC Department of Land Resources newsletter.
