Glenville State University's President Mark A. Manchin Spreads Holiday Cheer with Candy Canes
As the holiday season kicks into full swing, Glenville State University's President Mark A. Manchin is embracing the festive spirit by spreading joy and good luck to students preparing for their final exams. In a heartwarming gesture, President Manchin personally distributed over 500 candy canes to students across campus to inspire confidence and provide a sweet boost as they tackle their year-end exams.
Glenville State University’s Debate Team Notches Strong Finish in Online Tournament 
Glenville State University's (GSU) Pioneer Debate team competed in the National Educational Debate Association's (NEDA) Fall Online Tournament Saturday, November 4. The tournament included 53 individual competitors from eight schools, including Ball State University, University of Dayton, Grove City College, Pennsylvania State University, and more.  
First Ever "Forest Carbon Management in Central Appalachia Conference" Highlights Research on Urban Campus Trees
The inaugural "Forest Carbon Management in Central Appalachia Conference" took place from September 25 to 27, 2023, at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place in Morgantown, West Virginia. The conference, sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and West Virginia University (WVU), attracted a diverse audience of researchers, academics, students, extension agents, foresters, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, wood products industry representatives, landowners, and other stakeholders. 
Glenville State University Unveils Innovative Mathematics Bachelor’s Program 
This innovative program is meticulously crafted to offer an interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to immerse themselves in the expansive world of mathematics. It seamlessly integrates core mathematics courses with the opportunity to choose electives from diverse departments. This integration enables students to establish links between mathematics and various fields such as business, computer science, science/engineering, and land surveying/natural resource management.
