Free Adult Learners Workshop November 14th
Glenville State College faculty and staff are planning to hold a free ‘Adult Learners Workshop’ at Braxton County High School on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and is for those interested in starting or resuming college.

Free GSC Jazz Band and Concert Choir Concert
The Glenville State College Jazz Band and Concert Choir Concert is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

GSC Bluegrass Band Gives Back
The members of the Glenville State College Bluegrass Music Degree Program, the world’s first four-year bachelor of arts degree in bluegrass music, are very busy performing and volunteering in and around the Gilmer County community.

Twenty-two high school HSTA students from Braxton and Webster Counties visited Glenville State College to learn about some of the many course offerings available at the school.

Burkowski Retires from GSC
Long-time Professor of English Dr. Gayle Burkowski retired from Glenville State College in May of 2011 after twenty-two years of service to the institution and its students.

GSC Fall Bluegrass Concert October 18th
Members of the Glenville State College Bluegrass Band will be presenting the Tenth Annual Fall Bluegrass Concert on Tuesday, October 18th. The event will take place in the GSC Fine Arts Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The concert will honor the 100th birthday of Bill Monroe, the founder of bluegrass music.
