Glenville, W.Va. – The Glenville State Pioneers fell at home to the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats by nine points, 78-87.
GSC and West Virginia Wesleyan would both battle back and fourth throughout the first half, however the Pioneers would fall behind by nine points heading in to halftime.
In the second half the Bobcats would build a 19 point lead as the miserable shooting night continued for the Pioneers. And if that wasn’t enough GSC’s leading scorer Lamar Mallory would go down with a knee injury halfway through the second half and not return.
The Pioneers would make a late run but it wouldn’t be enough as West Virginia Wesleyan would defeat GSC by nine, 78-87.
The Pioneers only shot 18 percent from behind the three-point line while the Bobcats shot 56 percent from behind the three-point line.
