The Glenville State College Pioneer Men’s basketball team lost on the road at nationally ranked Northern Kentucky University this afternoon by a 59-96 score.
The Pioneers got down early as the Northern Kentucky scored 46 first half points and shot an amazing 66 percent from the floor to lead at halftime, 46-35.
The Pioneers were led by Justin Caldwell with 20 points. He also dished out 2 assist in the game. Nick Dent added 12 points for the Pioneers, and Jonathan Bevins chipped in with 10 points and a team high 5 rebounds.
Northern Kentucky had five players score in double figures with Bobby Shannon leading the way with 19 points.
With the loss, the Pioneers fall to 2-7 (2-4) on the year. They will return to action Wednesday, January 5th as they travel to take on WVIAC foe Shepherd University, tipoff is set for 8:00PM.
