GLENVILLE, WV—Potential and incoming Glenville State College students have two opportunities to visit GSC this spring. An open house will be held on Saturday, April 5th followed by the GSC Early Freshman Registration Week April 7th through 11th. These events will provide students and their families the opportunity to learn what being a GSC Pioneer is all about.

The open house will begin with check-in at the Heflin Administration Building Presidents Auditorium from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. followed by a meet and greet session from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A campus tour will then be given until 11:00 a.m. followed by an academic fair which will end with lunch in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Mollohan’s Restaurant at 12:00 p.m. Participants are invited to stay and watch the Pioneer baseball team take on Shepherd University at the Sue Morris Sports Complex at 1:00 p.m.

The GSC Early Freshman Registration Week will begin each day with check-in at the Heflin Administration Building from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. followed by a meet and greet session in the Presidents Auditorium from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Participants will then proceed to testing, advising, and registration from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Lunch will be served at the MCCC Mollohan’s Restaurant from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Students can then travel along the ‘Pioneer Trail’ from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. where they will have an opportunity to receive their GSC IDs, arrange meal plans, activate their college e-mail accounts, and purchase parking passes. An optional campus tour will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the admissions office which is located in Goodwin Hall.

“We are excited to invite our future Pioneers to see our campus and register early.  This opportunity allows students to have a peace of mind over the summer that their class schedules are complete, and they are ready for the fall semester.  All incoming students will have the opportunity to work on their schedules, meet new professors, check out all that our campus has to offer, and connect with the GSC community,” said GSC Supervisor for Enrollment Ashley Weir.

For more information about the events or enrolling at GSC, contact Weir at Ashley.Weir@glenville.edu or (304) 462-6133.
