The Lady Pioneer softball team split with the University of Charleston Golden Eagles on Saturday April 3rd.
In game one Leanne Harris went 2 for 4 in the game, as a team the Lady Pioneers had a total of 6 hits in game one, with Megan Lesser recorded 1 as well as Katelyn Porter, Stacy Mack, and Brooke Foster.
Megan Lesser’s hit was a homerun in the top of the 7th to put the Lady Pioneers in the lead. The Lady Pioneers won the game by a finial of 3-2.
Mandy Parkulo pitched a complete game give up only 7 hits and 2 runs.
In game two the Lady Pioneers fell short losing 2-5. Leanna Harris went 2 for 4 again while Stacy Mack went 2 for 4 and 1 RBI. As a team the Lady Pioneers racked up 8 hits but only scored 2 runs.
Brittany Handley had a good game going 1 for 3 with 1 RBI and 1 stolen base.
Lori Childers stared the game pitching, she only pitched 2.2 innings; she gave up 3 hits 3 runs, while Jessica Fedor came in to relieve her. Fedor pitched 3.1 innings allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs.
The Lady Pioneers return to action on Wednesday April 7th when they travel to battle WVIAC Conference power West Virginia Wesleyan game is set for 5:00PM.
