After all, he has for, years enjoyed playing golf at the Glenville Golf Club, and the Club’s pro, Lance Woodford, has always been supportive of his ambitions to star in the sport at the college level.
“I’ve always dreamed of being a Pioneer since I was a little boy,” he stated, at the signing of his Letter of Intent on last Friday, July 23 to play golf for GSC.
In fact, he foresees GSC’s Golf Team as being a formidable squad next season. “We are getting a lot of good recruits coming in,” he relays. Codi, a 2010 Gilmer County High School graduate, went to the state Golf Tournament in Wheeling last season, placing in the top 12.
At 18, he will become a GSC freshman this August, majoring in General Studies, in preparation for eventually pursuing a degree in engineering and architecture.
He is the son of Jerry and Anna James, of Normantown.
