Kristen Golden led the Lady Pioneers with 17 points and 10 rebounds as she grabbed herself a double double, while Beth Deren had the hot hand shooting, as she scored 11 points.
Tiffany Huffman also had a good game as she scored 9 points, while Tenisha Wilson chipped in with 8 points, and Miranda Reed dished out a game high 6 assists.
The Griffin’s were led by Jordan Burkes as she scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, Jill Emberg chipped in with 15 points, and Joya Whittington grabbed a team high 9 rebounds.
The Lady Pioneers defense caused 23 turnovers and converted that into 24 points on the night. The Griffin’s out shot the Lady Pioneers from the floor 36 percent to the Lady Pioneers 31 percent, but the Lady Pioneers won the battle from long distance, as they out Seton Hill 28 to 15 percent.
The Lady Pioneers are 15-6 (13-3) on the season and currently sitting in 3rd place in the WVIAC behind West Liberty and Charleston. They will return to action on Thursday, February 10th when West Virginia Wesleyan travels to Jesse R. Lilly Gym. Game time is set for 5:30PM.
