Lady Pioneers Down Bluefield State 118-63

The GSC Lady Pioneer basketball team defeated the Bluefield State Lady Blues last night by a score of 118-93 behind 22 points from Danielle Woodmere and 18 from Miranda Reed.   Reed also dished out 10 assists.

The Lady Pioneers took a 28-8 lead at the 11:00 mark in the first half and never looked back, in cruising to their fourth win of the season. The Lady Pioneers got an amazing 47 points off of turnovers courtesy of the Lady Blues.
The GSC Ladies also posted seven players in doubles figures and had two players register double-doubles.
Kenyell Goodson chipped in with 14 points, while Kristen Golden added 14 points, and pulled down a game high 13 rebounds.
Senior Autumn Davis had 12 points, Tenisha Wilson scored 11 points, and Tiffany Huffman chipped in with 10 respectivly.
The Lady Blues were led by Charlene Diggs with 18 points. The Lady Pioneers will be back in action as they battle WVIAC foe Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, December 4th at 5: 30PM in their first home game of 2010-11 season.
