Heartbreaking Loss to West Virginia Wesleyan Women 70-71 in Final Home Game of the Regular Season

GSC Women's BasketballThe Glenville State College Lady Pioneers suffered a tough loss 70-71 in final home game of the regular season to West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats.

The Lady Pioneers played a great game but came up short; they shot a miserable 27 percent from the floor, and shot only 25 percent from behind the arc.
The lone senior Donita Adams led the Lady Pioneers in her final regular season home game, with 22 points, she also grabbed a team high 7 rebounds. Kristen Golden also played well scoring 11 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, while Autumn Davis chipped in with 9 points.
The Lady Pioneers defense caused 30 turnovers on the night while they only turned it over 15 times their selves, but it still wasn’t enough to pull out a victory.
West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats was led by Lydia Bridenbuegh with 19 points, she also grabbed a game high 14 rebounds.
The Lady Pioneers start their WVIAC Tournament run this Monday at home vs. Alderson-Broaddus; tipoff is set for 7:30PM.
