Daniels, WV – A final round 295 propelled Bluefield State to the 2011 WVIAC men’s golf conference championship Tuesday. Bluefield State finished in first place while Pitt-Johnstown shot a three round score of 936 to come in second.
West Liberty came in third while Concord, who won the WVIAC championship last year, scored a 942 to finish fourth. University of Charleston rounded out the top five.
Davis & Elkins placed sixth with a 968 and Fairmont State seventh with a 973. West Virginia Wesleyan came in eight while Ohio Valley finished ninth and Shepherd 10th.
Glenville State came in 11th, West Virginia State and Wheeling Jesuit came in 12th and 13th.
The Pioneers were led by Matt Metz with a 245. Trae Sprague finished with a 254 while Alen Bruce shot a 256 and Trey Meeks shot a 267.
Brandon Dolan rounded out the Pioneers with a 273.
