- Jakharie Murphy returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown last week against the University of Charleston
Glenville, WV – Glenville State Pioneer senior wideout and kick returner Jakharie Murphy was named Beyond Sports College Network (BSN) Player of the Week.
Murphy, a 5’9 native of Oakland, California won the BSN Special Teams Player of the Week for his outstanding 96 yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening kickoff of the Pioneers game last week with the University of Charleston Golden Eagles.
As a receiver, he also hauled in eight passes for 112 yards.
