Team Blue Nation celebrates after they won the 2nd Annual National Bowl Game 33-31

Allentown, PA – The Glenville State Pioneers football team had seven seniors play in the 2nd Annual National Bowl on Sunday, December 4th in Allentown, PA. Two players also took home awards Ahkeem Figgs took home Special Teams MVP, while Jordan Griffin took home the National Bowl MVP.

All seven GSC players were on the Blue Nation roster as they took on the Red Nation at J. Birney Crum Stadium.

All seven players played a big part as the Blue Nation defeated the Red Nation in a very exciting game 34-31.

Matt Parker had several tackles and an interception, Parker also had several plays at tailback, he rushed the ball five times for 32 yards. Fellow defensive back Norman Seignious had a hand full of tackles as well. Shawn Stackhouse also had several tackles in the game.

On the offensive side of the ball Ahkeem Figgs had a 90 yard kick return for a touchdown as he won Special Teams MVP. Jordan Griffin hauled in five catches for over 144 yards and a touchdown as he won the National Bowl MVP.

Jakhaire Murphy caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown while Antwan Stewart caught three passes for 39 yards in the game.

We would like to congratulate these outstanding seniors as they help pick up a win for the Blue Nation in the National Bowl, we would also like to congratulate the award winners as well as wish them the best of luck in their future.
