Buckhannon, WV – The Glenville State men’s basketball team fell to West Virginia Wesleyan 42-65 on the road Thursday night.
The Pioneers got down early half way through the first half by 10 points as Wesleyan’s Raymont McElroy took a 20-10 lead. The Bobcats extended their lead to 18 points heading into halftime 30-12.
In the second half the trouble continued for the Pioneers as they would fall to the Bobcats 42-65.
GSC was out rebounded by Wesleyan 40 to 29, the Bobcats also held an advantage in shooting as they shot 47 percent from the floor while the Pioneers shot only 29 percent in the game.
Wesleyan also controlled the paint as they out scored GSC 26 to 12 in the paint.
The Pioneers were led by Jamel Morris as he scored 10 points and registered two steals in the game. Andy Dollman scored nine points on the night while Mark Walker chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.
Raymont McElroy led the Bobcats with 23 points and seven rebounds. Reggie Chambers scored 10 points and dished out five assists.
The Pioneers return to action this Saturday, February 11th when they return home to battle the University of Charleston Golden Eagles. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM.
