Getting Around GSC on the Shuttle

The shuttle bus drives around campus picking up and dropping off students at various places. The shuttle stops at the Mollohan center, the entrance to Goodwin Hall, the Fine Arts Building, Pioneer village, the football field, the Waco Center, and by the gymnasium. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete all stops. The GSC Library is offering a free music program through Freegal. Freegal is an online library with approximately 7 million different songs. If you are a registered patron of the library then you are allowed to download three new songs every week for the entire school year. Mock Trial Pioneers

Mock Trial Pioneers is an organization returning to Glenville State College that will be acting out criminal court cases. Both the prosecution and the defense of each case will be represented by 10-16 people. This includes lawyers and witnesses, with roles assigned in advance. The trial will help students learn how to utilize a variety of skills such as argument development, public speaking tips, communication skills, and confidence gaining. Army Principal Euphonium Player Performs

Dr. Neal Corwell, an accomplished euphonium player, will be performing a recital Friday, September 13 in the auditorium of the Fine Arts Building. The recital begins at 11 a.m. and will last until 1:30 p.m. Corwell began his trek as a professional musician over 32 years ago and since has worked hard to get recognition for the euphonium as a solo instrument. The next few weeks the works of Owen Mckenzie and GSC’s Assistant Professor of English, Melissa Gish, will be showing in the art gallery located in the Fine Arts Building. The official opening of the show is September 9 from 5-7 p.m. However the art is currently available for viewing Monday – Friday between the hours of 10 a.m to 2 p.m. until September 30. Standup Comedian Lucas Bohn will be here at GSC September 3 at the Rusty Musket from 7-9 p.m. Bohn features a variety of real life examples such as going to the gym and familiar impersonations like that of Sesame Street’s Elmo in his act to captivate the audience at all times.
