After dismantling the top ranked team in the state of Pennsylvania, the Lady Pioneers suffered their first loss of the season against a weaker Pennsylvania foe. Pioneers Come Out Victorious on Senior Day

It was a beautiful day at Morris Stadium as the Glenville State College Pioneer football team said goodbye to 15 senior players and  came out victorious on their last game of the 2012 season against Seton Hill with a score of 58-2. Quarterback Justin Feagin completed five of 14 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown; he also rushed for 44 yards on five carries. GSC Women beat #6 ranked team in the country

The Glenville State Lady Pioneers tipped off their season against out-of-conference foe, Virginia Union, at home this past Friday. Both sides kept the score close the entire gamewith several lead changes as the Lady Pioneers hung on for a 90-83 victory. Well it wasn’t pretty but the Glenville State men are above .500 for the first time this season. Pioneers Win Homecoming Game Against the UC Golden Eagles

The Pioneers defeated WVIAC opponent University of Charleston at the  2012 homecoming game 14-10. They now have a record of 5-1 in the conference and 5-4 overall. Glenville State and University of Charleston were both unable to score in the first quarter, but Justin Feagin ran the ball seven yards in the second quarter to put the Pioneers on the scoreboard first at 7-0. The Glenville State College Pioneers defeated West Virginia State 29-12 this past Saturday in another conference battle. The Pioneers now sit as the second seed in the WVIAC standings behind Shepherd with a record of 3-1 in the conference and 3-4 overall. GSC XC teams race last time in regular season in WVIAC

The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed this past weekend at Pipestem State Park. Host school Concord University held their annual Concord Alumni Invitational and several in-conference schools took part in the challenge along with in-state foe WVU Tech. The women’s 5k race was first and it wasn’t long before Rachel Williams of the host school rolled to a dominant victory in a time of 20:17. The Glenville State College Pioneers hit the road to Wheeling this past Saturday to pick up their second conference win of the season against the West Liberty Hilltoppers. Although the women’s volleyball team has had some setbacks this year, Coach Camai Roberson and the team have really been working hard for good performances on the courts. Roberson stated that the team is somewhat struggling physically and is rough around the edges. The team originally had 16 players, but lost seven players to injury and sickness, recruited one new player, and is now working with a roster of 10.   The Glenville State College Pioneers fell to 1-3 for the season after another tough loss at Lindenwood University this past Friday. Colston Bayless gave the Pioneers a very early lead with a 22 yard field goal after Glenville drove the ball 70 yards on their first possession.
