Five Glenville State College Army ROTC students were part of the Yellow Jacket Battalion’s twelve-man Ranger Challenge Team, which placed 3rd of 19 teams. The Ranger Challenge is a varsity sport in Army ROTC, and the competitors earn a Ranger Challenge Tab and a service ribbon after completing the challenge. The Pioneers of Glenville State College welcomed Mountain East Conference foe UVA-Wise to Morris Stadium this past Saturday for the first meeting between the two teams. Music Fest to Occur next Tuesday

The GSC annual Music Fest will be on Tuesday, October 22. The Fest includes performances from the Percussion Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Marching Band, Bluegrass Band, Choir, and more. Admission for the show is $10 for adults, $5 for public school students, and $5 for GSC students who have their IDs. All proceeds from this concert will go towards the Bertha Olsen Scholarship Fund. Paul Hartmann, a professional photographer and artist, will be showing his art the next month in the art gallery in the Fine Arts Building. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Much of his work features abstract fragment photography. The only thing hotter than the heat this past Saturday was the Wesleyan passing attack against the Pioneer defense.
