On Friday September 27, 2013 Brittany Lott will be performing her Senior Recital at 7pm in the auditorium at the Fine Arts Building. Brittany has been playing tuba for 10 years. Fall Sports Underway

This past weekend proved to be a big one for the athletic teams of Glenville State College. The football team made the trip to Virginia Military Institute to take on the Division I-FCS Keydets. Although VMI expected the Pioneers to be just an easy opening game for the Keydets, the Pioneers went into the game with plans of their own. Getting Around GSC on the Shuttle

The shuttle bus drives around campus picking up and dropping off students at various places. The shuttle stops at the Mollohan center, the entrance to Goodwin Hall, the Fine Arts Building, Pioneer village, the football field, the Waco Center, and by the gymnasium. It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete all stops. Freegal Music Program

The GSC Library is offering a free music program through Freegal. Freegal is an online library with approximately 7 million different songs. If you are a registered patron of the library then you are allowed to download three new songs every week for the entire school year. Glenville State Accreditation Passed

The purpose of accreditation is to recognize that an institution of learning is meeting and maintaining certain requisites in order for their graduates to be considered “graduates”. Every school has to be accredited every ten years in order for that school to be considered reputable. West Virginia colleges and universities, including Glenville State, are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association. Big Games For Football and Volleyball

The time is finally here. This weekend marks the start of the 2013-14 football season for the Glenville State College Pioneers. While this first game of the season has been greatly anticipated by the players and coaches, the Pioneers will be facing quite the task. Mock Trial Pioneers

Mock Trial Pioneers is an organization returning to Glenville State College that will be acting out criminal court cases. Both the prosecution and the defense of each case will be represented by 10-16 people. This includes lawyers and witnesses, with roles assigned in advance. The trial will help students learn how to utilize a variety of skills such as argument development, public speaking tips, communication skills, and confidence gaining.
