The Pioneers of Glenville State College welcomed Mountain East Conference foe UVA-Wise to Morris Stadium this past Saturday for the first meeting between the two teams. Music Fest to Occur next Tuesday

The GSC annual Music Fest will be on Tuesday, October 22. The Fest includes performances from the Percussion Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Marching Band, Bluegrass Band, Choir, and more. Admission for the show is $10 for adults, $5 for public school students, and $5 for GSC students who have their IDs. All proceeds from this concert will go towards the Bertha Olsen Scholarship Fund. Art Exhibit to Show- Paul Hartmann

Paul Hartmann, a professional photographer and artist, will be showing his art the next month in the art gallery in the Fine Arts Building. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Much of his work features abstract fragment photography. Then on opening night come to the costume party/reception dressed as your favorite inspirational character with a grand prize being one of Paul Hartmann’s framed photographs. The only thing hotter than the heat this past Saturday was the Wesleyan passing attack against the Pioneer defense. However, the Pioneers were able to battle the temperature and a late surge from the Bobcats to hang onto a narrow 35-32 homecoming day victory Saturday at Morris Stadium. This past Thursday night, Glenville State College unveiled a series of exciting new features for the football season. The Pioneers showcased their new uniforms while playing on the field’s new playing surface. Thursday night also marked the debut of the newly renovated home stands, the Jumbotron, and sky box seats. On Friday September 27, 2013 Brittany Lott will be performing her Senior Recital at 7pm in the auditorium at the Fine Arts Building. Brittany has been playing tuba for 10 years.
