GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College student Brian Williams will be performing his senior recital on Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The recital, which will focus on Williams playing bassoon and Anita White accompanying him on piano, will include works of Saint-Saens, Dukas, Vivaldi, Mozart, Kondo, and McKay.

Williams is majoring in Music Education (PreK-adult) and has been a Resident Assistant at Pioneer Village for three years. He also helps with campus tours and open house activities and plays flute at the local Catholic church every Sunday.

He counts the GSC music program as the best part of his college experience. "I enjoy all the opportunities of playing different types of instruments in the ensembles that are typically out of my comfort zone. Dr. [Lloyd] Bone is hands down one of the greatest people I have ever met. If he had not encouraged me the way he has, I would not be a music major. He always goes the extra mile to ensure the students in the department are taken care of and have the best possible college experiences," said Williams. He is from Jessup, Maryland and is the son of Phyllis and the late Jim Williams.

The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, call (304) 462-6340.
