Federal Work Study Program
Student work study employment positions are available each year through various departments on campus. This program is administered by the Financial Aid Office in cooperation with the Office of Human Resources.
A FAFSA is required.
The acceptance of work eligibility study is not a guarantee of employment. Applications are submitted online and go to the Office of Human Resources. Upon employment, students must submit a copy of their social security card and complete a W-4 form.
A student may not work in excess of twenty hours per week during periods of enrollment. Students are paid bi-weekly for hours worked, and this money is not available at registration. If a student is dismissed from employment, the university has no responsibility to adjust the financial aid award to make up for lost eligibility.
The workship program is state funded and students need not demonstrate a financial need to qualify for a workship position.
