Glenville, WV -- The dangers of meth labs, what to do if you think a meth lab has been set up in your neighborhood, and how law enforcement agencies can become better prepared to respond to illicit drug manufacturing in their jurisdictions. These are some of the topics of discussion planned during an upcoming free Meth Lab Symposium being offered at Glenville State College. The seminar will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the GSC Heflin Administration Building Presidents Auditorium.

Session one will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until noon; it will be for first responders and the general public. A free lunch will then be provided at noon, and the second session will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Part two will be for first responders only. The information will be presented by Jerry Harvey, who is the training coordinator for the National Corrections and Law Enforcement Training and Technology Center at Glenville State College. Four inservice credit hours are available for attendees.

The event is sponsored by GSC and NCLETTC. For more information and to register, contact GSC Criminal Justice Program Instructor Dan Martens at (304) 462-7361x7284.
