GLENVILLE, WV – Glenville State College (GSC) Assistant Professor of Music and Bluegrass Music Program Director Dr. Megan Darby (Miss Megan) has received an extension of her featured artist profile on the GHS Strings website. She remains among scores of other notable musicians who are featured by the company.

The continued endorsement will provide benefits to the GSC Bluegrass band by offering quality, brand name strings at a reduced artist price, along with welcome packages to the bluegrass students geared toward their instrument and string preference. GHS Strings will provide banners to display on campus and other complimentary merchandise. A variety of GHS merchandise will also be available for purchase at The Pioneer Stage, Bluegrass Music Education Center that is located in Downtown Glenville.

“I want to play an instrument that I love to play and that I like the sound of. Having an endorsement through GHS Strings allows for that. I have used the Bobby Osborne Signature Set on my Gibson F5L mandolin for a while now and I have played them on most of the shows that I have done and on our recent recording,” said Darby. “We have been working with GHS Strings since 2018 and I’m very proud to continue this endorsement.”

GHS Strings is a nationally known company that has manufactured strings for guitars, mandolins, banjos, and other instruments since 1964. The name of the company is taken from the initials of the original founders: Gould, Holcomb, and Solko.
