Glenville State University Faculty Member Honored in Regional Biennial Art Exhibition

GLENVILLE, WV – Glenville State University is proud to announce that Assistant Professor of Art, Dr. Chelsea M. Glidden, has been selected for and honored in the Tri-State Arts Association Biennial Exhibition at the Huntington Museum of Art.

Dr. Glidden received the prestigious Carter Taylor Seaton Memorial Award as part of the 2026 exhibition, recognizing her artistic excellence among a competitive field of artists from across West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky.

The juried exhibition, hosted in partnership with the Tri-State Arts Association, showcases outstanding work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and mixed media. The exhibition opened in March and will remain on display throughout the summer.

“Participating in the 2026 Tri-State Arts Association (TSAA) Biennial Juried Exhibition at the Huntington Museum of Art (HMOA) was a rewarding experience,” said Dr. Glidden. “I am honored to receive the Carter Taylor Seaton Memorial Award and grateful for the support of TSAA and HMOA in providing a platform to share my work and connect with fellow artists in the Tri-State area.”

Founded in 1953, the Tri-State Arts Association is dedicated to promoting public appreciation of the visual arts and supporting regional artists through opportunities such as this highly competitive biennial exhibition.

The exhibition is free and open to the public, offering visitors an opportunity to experience a wide variety of contemporary artwork created by artists from across the tri-state region.
