GLENVILLE, WV—The work of Glenville State College Associate Professor of Art Liza Brenner is currently on display in an exhibition at the Gallery on 43rd Street in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show features paintings from Brenner’s recent trip to Spello, Italy where she attended a plein air workshop. Plein air is a French term used to describe painting outdoors and translates to ‘in the open air.’ The exhibition will last until Saturday, April 18th with the gallery being open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

One of Brenner's featured works titled, 'Cruising'

“We spent our days painting the Italian landscape and then receiving instruction and or critiques in the afternoon. My goal was to improve my plein air painting skills and gain experience painting the beautiful Italian landscape,” said Brenner. The workshop she attended in Italy was instructed by retired Hollins University art professor Bill White.
