Glenville, WV—The Christmas season has been very busy for the Glenville State College Brass Ensemble.

GSC Brass Ensemble

Approximately fifteen students from the GSC Music Department, under the direction of GSC Assistant Professor of Music Lloyd Bone, have been delighting folks with their rendition of seasonal music.

The ensemble has performed at Glenville State College alumni dinners at the Parkersburg Country Club and the Bridgeport Country Club, and will play at a third GSC alumni dinner on Saturday December 15th, at the Marshall University Dining Hall. The group also played for four hours at the Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport, West Virginia on Sunday December 9th.

“Every one of these musicians has volunteered his or her time and effort in order for us to be able to make these performances. They do it because they love to play and enjoy representing the GSC Music Department,” said Bone. Several of the students will delay their Christmas break for a couple of days in order to make the final holiday performance.
