GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College's Printing Services Specialist Todd Faber is a busy man. Since 2006 you could have found him hard at work in GSC's campus Print Shop. However, for the past two years Faber has been mobilized as part of the U.S. Army Reserves. As a Chief Warrant Officer 2, he was recently recognized as the Texas Warrant Officer of the Year by the Reserve Officers Association of the United States.

"I was honored that my command even submitted me to be considered for the award and I am privileged to be able to serve my country," said Faber.

Since his mobilization in 2012 Faber has served in Georgia and, most recently, Texas. He assisted with the closure of the Fort Benning (Georgia) Continental United States Replacement Center (CRC) and the establishment of a similar center at Fort Bliss (Texas). He is currently serving as the Human Resources Technician for Headquarters and Headquarter Battery, 402nd Field Artillery Brigade at Fort Bliss.

Faber has received several awards during 30-plus years of military service including: the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Accommodation Medal, the Army Achievement Award, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

Faber’s award nomination praised his performance and called him, 'an asset for the brigade.' The inscribed plaque that accompanied the honor stated, 'CW2 Faber's exceptional ability and devotion to duty reflect great credit upon himself and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army and the Reserve Officers Association.'

Prior to being in the Army Reserves, Faber was in the active U.S. Army for six years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Printing Management and an Associate of Science Degree in Printing Technology. He is also active with Relay for Life fund raising events, assists with his son's Boy Scout Pack, and volunteers with the El Paso Texas Mayor’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner.
