GLENVILLE, WV – Staff members in Glenville State College's Fitness Center are again organizing the annual 5K Walk/Run and 'Fastest Kid in Town' contests. The 5K Walk/Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the Fastest Kid in Town contest will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st.  Both events will start in downtown Glenville, West Virginia (Gilmer County) during the annual West Virginia State Folk Festival, which takes place Thursday, June 19th through Sunday, June 22nd.

Early registration fees for each event are $15. Fees for registration after June 7th are $20. Participants can still register on the morning of June 21st beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Main Street in Glenville just outside the United Bank. The Fastest Kid in Town contest is for children up to ten years old. Everyone who pre-registers will receive a t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers and age groups.
