A sun drenched day at Bel Meadow golf course in Mount Clare, West Virginia was the perfect setting for the Glenville State College Land Resources Department’s 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, April 30th. Twenty-four teams took on the challenging eighteen hole layout in a scramble format.

The winning team was Frame Oilfield Services with a 12 under par score of 59. Team members included Rick Frame, Anthony Reale, Calbert, and Bouyou. The GSC Foundation team of Denny Pounds, J.T. Fox, Bob Edwards, and Jerry Stutler finished second with a score of 61. The Smith Land Surveying team was third with team members Greg Smith, Gene Smith, Paul Smith, and Tom Hicks.

The tournament raised over $4,200 that will benefit the GSC Land Resources Department. Proceeds from the tournament are used to purchase equipment that the department’s normal operating budget will not allow. This year they plan to purchase GPS, GIS, and CADD Technology for the Land Resources program that will help train students to be top-notch employees.

The GSC Land Resource Department would like to thank team sponsors, hole sponsors, prize, food, and beverage sponsors , and all those who helped make the tournament a huge success.
