GLENVILLE, WV - Students in the Glenville State College Early Education Student Group (EESG) will be hosting a free 'Trick or Reading Night' for area public school students. The event will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the third floor ballroom of the Mollohan Campus Community Center. Pre-K through second grade children are invited to attend and are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Trick or Reading

In addition to a night of reading, crafts, and snacks, the EESG members will also be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child. This program sends shoeboxes full of toys and other items to children in other countries for Christmas. Recommended items for donation include: toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, bars of soap, washcloths, school supplies like crayons, pencils, and small notepads, and small toys such as cars, jars of modeling clay, stuffed animals, etc. Remember that all of the items need to fit in a shoebox, so keep the items small.

For each item that a child brings to support the project, their name will be entered into a drawing for a Halloween themed basket that will be given away at the event.
