GLENVILLE, WV - Members of the Glenville State College Early Education Student Group (EESG) recently compiled gift boxes for the First Baptist Church of Glenville's Shoebox Ministry. The 15 donated packages were filled with coloring books, crayons, puzzles, toys, books, gloves, toothpaste, and toothbrushes for children in Gilmer County.

Supplies for the boxes were donated by group members, parents, and children that attended the EESG's Trick or Reading Night in late October. This is the second year that the group has donated to the project. All of the gifts collected for the shoebox ministry stay in Gilmer County and benefit local children.

"My co-advisor Shelly Ratliff and I are so proud of the Early Education Student Group's efforts and their decision to reach out to young children in Gilmer County. A special thank you to the parents and children that donated items for the shoeboxes - each of you helped bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning," said EESG advisor Connie Stout O'Dell.
